We are called to be father the fatherless
Our Mission
At Field & Faith, our mission is to break the cycle of fatherlessness by restoring identity through mentorship, discipleship, and outdoor experiences rooted in biblical truth. We walk with the fatherless helping them discover who they are in Christ, build real confidence, and learn to lead themselves and others with purpose, integrity, and strength.
Our Vision and Approach
We envision a generation rising up from brokenness into boldness young people who no longer carry the wounds of their past but walk in the purpose of their calling. Whether in a one-on-one conversation or around a campfire, transformation happens through presence, trust, and shared experience.
That’s why our approach is holistic:
Mentorship & Counseling to heal the heart
Group Discipleship to strengthen faith and community
Outdoor Adventures & Life Skills to build resilience
Inspired by Genesis 1:26, we teach each student that they were created in God’s image, with dignity, responsibility, and purpose. When one life is restored, entire legacies change.
Building Confidence Through Outdoor Education
One of the deepest wounds of fatherlessness is the lack of validation never being told, “You’re capable,” or “You have what it takes.” Without that voice, confidence shrinks and resilience fades. That’s why we take them outside into real environments where growth isn’t optional. The outdoors doesn’t coddle or protect. It demands attention and perseverance. In those spaces, every moment matters. If they don’t engage, things fall apart. If they quit, nothing moves forward. But as they keep going through challenge, failure, and breakthrough something changes.
They begin to believe in themselves. They learn how to push through. They build confidence, not because it’s given but because they’ve earned it.
We don’t create safe spaces. We create real spaces where young people discover they are strong and capable of more than they have ever believed.
Impact and Partnerships
We’ve seen what happens when someone finally hears: “You are not alone. You were made for more.” That moment is where healing begins and through our mentorship programs, small groups, and outdoor events, we’ve watched countless lives shift toward wholeness.
Our impact grows through partnerships with churches, schools, local leaders, and generous supporters who believe in this mission. Together, we’re helping the fatherless become whole and then walk back into their communities as leaders, mentors, and difference makers.
What it cost to change a life
Transforming a life takes more than good intentions it takes investment. It costs around $5,000 to fully equip and mentor one student through our program. This includes:
Outdoor gear and clothing
Bibles and spiritual resources
Meals, lodging, and travel for events
Licensed counseling and trained mentorship
Ongoing support, discipleship, and community engagement
Every dollar makes a real difference. When you give, you’re not just supporting a person you’re helping rewrite a legacy.

Founders Story
Growing up without a father is something I understand all too well. My parents divorced when I was just three years old, and by the time I turned eight, my dad had passed away. The time I had with him was short and even in those few years, much of it was marked by trauma. I can still remember watching him go into insulin shock while my grandmother and I tried to bring him back. I saw him suffer heart attacks right in front of me. I didn’t fully understand it at the time, but those moments stuck with me. And when he was gone, I felt it in a way that shaped everything that came next.
Losing him didn’t just affect me it left a hole I didn’t know how to fill. I struggled in school. Relationships felt impossible. I didn’t know how to handle emotions, so I buried them. By high school, I was desperate for affirmation, looking for love and validation anywhere I could find it. That desperation eventually led me into depression, addiction, and a growing sense that I didn’t belong anywhere. By my sophomore year, I hit such a low point that I attempted to take my own life.
At the time, I didn’t see a way out. But God did. Even though I kept spiraling, even when I ended up in legal trouble and jail, He never let go. Slowly, He began to break through my pride, my pain, and my assumptions about who I was and what I was worth. Looking back now, I can see it clearly, I was just a kid trying to figure out how to become a man with no guide, no model, and no one to tell me I had what it takes. Learning how to be a good father, husband, and friend felt like stumbling in the dark. But in the middle of all that confusion, God started showing me that I wasn’t alone and more importantly, that I wasn’t the only one.
There are so many others walking the same path I once walked. Silent. Struggling. Unseen. Carrying wounds from what was never said, what was never taught, and what was never given.
That’s why I started Field & Faith.
To be what I never had.
To walk with the broken and the fatherless.
To help them discover who they are, what they’re capable of, and who God created them to be.
This mission is more than personal it’s redemptive. Because the very pain that once defined my story has now become the reason, I get to help others rewrite theirs.
